Movement of tool are in right angle to each other in different direction on any CNC machine. these direction of movement of tool are called main axis . two different reference point as machine zero point and tool reference point are fixed at the specific place on CNC machine and one specific point on job .
Machine zero point - M
one machine Zero point is kept on specific place for all axes on CNC machine . this machine zero point is denoted by letter M. co ordinate of all axes are zero on this machine zero point . after starting machine, movement of all axes is done according to this machine zero point this work as a reference point for all axes .machine zero point of CNC machine is decided by machine manufacturer
Tool reference position - T
one tool reference position is kept on CNC to keep tool always on specific position. this tool reference position is denoted by letter T . tool reference is kept at specific distance from machine zero point .when machine is started , coordinate of all axis are seen as zero all the time so every time tool has to send on reference position
tool reference position is kept as maximum to the side of tail stock for z axis and maximum away from center of spindle for X axis on CNC lathe machine
Co ordinate system
To prepare a Program Which exists on CNC machine , first we have to prepare tool path according to desired operation . specific work zero position has to be taken on the job to prepare tool path .
there are tow axis , horizontal axis and vertical axis on a graph .both axis crossed each other on right angle and in CNC Lathe Machine axis parallel to the axis of job is called Z axis and axis across the diameter is called X axis generally , intersection of center of job X axis dimeter and external surface of job for Z axis length is considered as original point
