yoga has been an important part of Indian culture over 5000 year.there are many form of yoga karma yoga, bhakti yoga, sankhya yoga , hath yoga, astang yoga there are different types and discipline of yoga.there are many books of yoga some of them are patanjali yoga sutra, hatpardipika , gaurakshsanita etc.some famous name of yoga literature are maharishi pantanjali, sawatmaram , guru gaurakhnath who work for yoga and compile  it in there book.
United nation proclaim 21 jun  the International yoga day. Underscoring the fact that global health is a long-term development objective that requires closer international cooperation through the exchange of best practices aimed at building better individual lifestyles devoid of excesses of all kinds, Recognizing that yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being.

BKS Iyengar-

Born: 14 December 1918 ,Died: 20 August 2014One of the most famous yoga teacher who is popular in india as well as in abroad. He is one who populariz yoga in abroad also.He gifted a version of yoga known as 'Iyengar Yoga'. He died at the age of 95 and he performed yoga in that age also.




Sri Sri Ravi Shankar-

Born: 13 May 1956 (age 61)He is the founder of art if living , he known for his famous breathing practice called 'Suddarshan kriya' He developed it when he was practicing salience for 10 days.

Baba Ramdev-

Born: 25 December 1965One of the most famous yoga teacher , he is the person who brought back yoga to the mainstream by his yoga camps.
He is the founder of patanjali yoga trust. Who is spreading awareness towards swadeshi.

Born: 3 September 1957he is  popularly known as sadguru, he is the founder of Isha Foundation , Isha foundation offers the yoga program around the world...A adi yogi Shiva 112 ft tall statue desined by sadguru jaggi vaudev located at Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Obesity is extra fat stored in our body. When We take excess fat in our food it stored in our body mainly near belly area. Hence size of our belly increased. We can reduce it with the help of simple rules and posture of yoga. For it 30-45 minute practice daily is enough . Step are as follows
1.sit in comfortable pose and take deep breath and chent aum 3 times

2.Do warmup for 5 minutes
3.Do 5-10 tadasan and 5-10 tryaktadasan 



4. Do 5-10 katichakrasan

5. Do 5-10 trinkonasan (triangle posture.)

6. Do 5-10 padhastasan ( touching feet)

7.3-5 rounds surenamaskar (sun salutations)

8.close eyes and take 5-6 deep breath
9.sit in shukasan ( comfortable pose) and 5-10 side starching
10. Do 15-20 kapalbhati( forced blow air)

11.sit in vazarasan and slowly go to shashank asan( rabbit pose ) then slowly go to bhujang asan (cobra pose) and then come back to rabbit and then to vazarasan repeat 5-7 times





12.lay down on your back and lift your leg 5-7 time and do pavenmuktasan 



13. Try to do sarvangasan and halasan (plough pose) for 1 minute.

30 मिनट योगा से मोटापा कम करे

मोटापा शारीर में जमा अतरिक्त वासा है। जब हम अपने भोजन में आवश्यक से अधिक वासा लेते है तो वह हमारे शरीर में पेट के आसपास जमा हो जाता है। जिससे मोटापा बढ़ जाता है। इसे योग के साधारण नियमो और आसनो द्वारा 30-45 मिनट के अभ्यास द्वारा काम किया जा सकता है।
विधि-
1. सुखासन में बैठ कर गहरी साँस ले और 3 बार ॐ का उच्चारण करे।
2.अब 5 मिनट वार्मअप करे।
3 अब 5-10 बार ताड़ासन और त्रियक ताड़ासन करे।
4.5-10 बार कटिचक्रासन करे।
5.अब 5-10 त्रिकोणासन करे।
6.अब 5-10 पादहस्तासन करे।
7.3-5 बार सूर्य नमस्कार करे।
8. आँखे बन कर 5-6 गहरी सांस ले।
9. सुखासन में बैठे और 10-15 साइड स्टीचिंग करे।
10.अब 10 -15 कपालभाती करे।
11.अब वज्रासन में बैठ जाए और धीरे से शशांक आसान में जाये फिर कुछ देर रुककर भुंजंग आसान में जाये फिर धिरे से शशांक आसान और फिर वज्रासन में लौट आये। 5-7 बार करे।
12. पीठ के बल लेट जाये और पैर ऊपर उठाएं। 5-7 बार और पवनमुक्तासन का अभ्यास करे।
13.सर्वांगासन और हलासन का अभ्यास करे 1 मिनट ।
इन सभी अभ्यासों को प्रति दिन करे और 15-20 दिन में फर्क महसूस करे।
नोट-अगर किसी बीमारी जैसे हाइ BP आदि या किसी अन्य शारीरिक समस्या से पीड़ित है तो पहले डॉक्टर या किसी योग शिक्षक से सलाह ले।


योगाभ्यास के नियम

योगाभ्यास के नियम
1.उद्देश्य स्पष्ट होना चाहिये के हम योगा क्यों करना चाहते है। आप योग आद्यात्मिक लाभ और स्वस्थ लाभ के लिये कर सकते है।
2.उचित समय और स्थान का चयन करे। यह योगाभ्यास का महत्वपूर्ण घटक है।
3.उचित प्रशिक्षण और अच्छे गुरु के बिना योगाभ्यास आरंभ न करे।
4.योगाभ्यास आरम्भ करने से पूर्व योग के अच्छे ग्रंथो का अध्यन करे ताकि मन की भ्रांतिया दूर हो सके।
5.सफलता के लिये योग अभ्यास के साथ योग दर्शन का भी अनुसरण करे।केवल आसान का अभ्यास काफी नहीं है।
6.सदैव योगिक आहार ले..बिना उचित योगिक आहार के योगाभ्यास व्यर्थ है।योगाभ्यास के दौरान धूम्रपान, मदिरापान तथा मांसाहार ना करे।
7.योग अभ्यास का सर्वोत्तम समय सुबह बृह्म महूर्त  का होता है । इसमें परिणाम जल्दी प्राप्त होते है।
8.सर्वोच्च परिणाम के लिये अच्छे गुरु के मार्गदर्शन में योगाभ्यास करे।

Basic rules of yoga practice

1. Aim should be clear why you want to do yoga.. yoga can be done for spiritual benefits or for health benefits...
2. Select Proper time and place for yoga practice it is important factor of yoga practice.
3. Don't start yoga practice without Proper training or without good teacher..
4. Before starting yogic practice read good books of yoga to make your mind clear ...
5.To get success in yoga practice follow yogic philosophy also . Only practice of ashan is not enough..
6. Always take yogic diets..without proper yogic diets all yoga practice is useless..during yoga practice avoid smoking, alcohol and nonveg.
7.best time to practice yoga is morning 4 am to 6 am or before sun rise.. it will give result soon..
8.for best result do practice in supervision of a good teacher...


International Day of Yoga 21 Jun

World is going to celebrate yoga day on 21th Jun. Yoga is the most beautiful gift of India to the world. Maharishi Patangali is known as the “Father Of Yoga” . who compile the yoga sutra. 

on September 27, 2014, the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi urged the world community in his address to the 69 session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to adopt an International Day of Yoga   Shri Modi said “Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with ourselves, the world and Nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us to deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day,"  
On December 11, 2014, the 193 member UNGA approved the proposal by consensus with a record 177 co-sponsoring countries a resolution to establish 21 June as "International Day of Yoga"

Yoga has different parts like pranayama, dhayan, aashan, Samadhi etc which make our body free from illness as well as give peace of mind and improve efficiency of our body and mind. daily practice of dhayan and yoga can improve our life a lot. Yoga is not related to any religion it is related to humanity. if you are not expert of yoga, it should be practiced with the help of any yoga guru (teacher). Or you can learn this from books, Videos, or online. Try to go to a good guru/teacher for learning yoga.

The word yoga come from the vedic Sanskrit. The term yoga has been used to variety of practices, The Hindu schools of Yoga being Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Laya Yoga and Hatha Yoga, Maharishi Patanjali is known as father of modern Yoga who wrote the sutra of yoga, Yoga Sutras of Pantajali, constitute classical Ashtanga Yoga (the eight limbs), also called Raja Yoga


Yoga is a Physical, mantel and spiritual practice which helps to transform body and mind.
Dhayan (Mediation) , Pranayam (Extension of breath)  and suryie namaskar (Sun Salutation) are the basics of yoga.
Daily Practice of these will help you to improve ability of your body and mind.

It  helps you to know yourself .
It  keeps your body fit and free from illness.
It  helps you to improve your willpower.

It is the solution to many  problems.

According to maharishi Patanjali yoga is 
योग: चित्त-वृत्ति निरोध:
yogah citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ
 which means "Yoga is the inhibition (nirodhaḥ) of the "waves" or "disturbance" (vṛtti) of the "mind" or "consciousness” or “memory,” (citta)".Swami Vivekananda translates the sutra as "Yoga is restraining the mind-stuff (Citta) from taking various forms (Vrittis)."

1.Yamas are ethical rules in meny religions like  Hinduism , Buddhism and Jainism and can be thought of as moral imperatives. Maharishi Patanjali listed The five yamas in Patanjali in Yoga sutra.

2.The second Limbs of Patanjali's Yoga path is called niyama, which includes habits, behaviors

3.Asana is thus a posture that one can hold for a period of time, staying relaxed, steady, comfortable and motionless.

4.Praṇayama is made out of two Sanskrit words praṇa (प्राण, breath)  and ayama (आयाम, restraining, extending, stretching) After a desired posture has been achieved, the next limb of yoga, praṇayama, which is the practice of consciously regulating breath (inhalation and exhalation) 

5.Pratyahara is a combination of two Sanskrit words prati- (the prefix प्रति-, "towards") and ahara (आहार, "bring near") Pratyahara is bringing near one's awareness and one's thoughts to within. 

6.Dharana (Sanskrit: धारणा) means concentration, introspective focus. Dharana as the sixth limb of yoga, is holding one's mind onto a particular inner state, subject or topic of one's mind.

7.Dhyana (Sanskrit: ध्यान) simply known as meditation literally means "profound contemplation" Dhyana is contemplating, reflecting on whatever Dharana has focused on.

8.Samadhi is oneness with the subject of meditation. There is no distinction, during the eighth limb of yoga, between the actor of meditation.
